What do I set Heat Needs Fan to?

This configuration tells your Pelican thermostat if it needs to enable the supply fan during a heating cycle.

Some HVAC units require the thermostat to enable the supply fan during a heating cycle, while other units have their own internal timers and/or temperature sensors. Units with their own sensors automatically enable the supply fan once the heat exchanger has reached a factory set temperature. This helps prevent blowing cold air into the room. We recommend speaking with a professional if you do not know the correct configuration for your equipment.

What are the configuration options?

No (default): The thermostat will not enable the supply fan during a heating cycle.

Yes: The thermostat will enable the supply fan during a heating cycle.
