How do I wire a PEARL to control enable an exhaust fan?

Note:

There is a detailed diagram for this installation in the PEARL’s installation guide.

Exhaust Fan Start/Stop:

The PEARL can start and stop an exhaust fan in different sequences:

Exhaust Fan Runs Anytime the Supply Fan Runs: Wire the (G) terminal from the PEARL to both the exhaust fan and the supply fan.

Exhaust Fan Runs During Economizer and/or Demand Ventilation Sequences: Wire the (E) terminal from the PEARL to the exhaust fan and the (G) terminal to the supply fan.

Exhaust Fan Runs During Economizer and/or Demand Ventilation Sequences, but Only After the Outside Damper is Open Beyond a Specific Percentage (%): Wire the (E) terminal from the PEARL to the exhaust fan and the (G) terminal to the supply fan. Contact Pelican Technical Support to have them set an Exhaust Enable Damper Position percentage (%) into the PEARL.

Exhaust Fan Modulation to Building Pressure:

The PEARL can NOT control an exhaust fan to building pressure. A Pelican Z8 or Z24 can be used for this sequence. For more information and wiring details contact Pelican’s Business Development Team.
