How do I create an event schedule for multiple thermostats?

Navigate to the Schedule Dashboard and open the calendar:

  1. From the main page of your app, select the blue button labeled Schedule Dashboard.
  2. Select Show Calendar in the upper right hand corner of the Schedule Dashboard.

Type of Events:

There are two types of event schedules that can be shared between multiple thermostats:

  1. If you want to share an event across thermostats that are grouped together, follow the section below labeled: Share an Event Across Grouped Thermostats.
  2. If you want to share an event across thermostats who follow the same Shared Schedule, follow the section below labeled: Share an Event Across Thermostats with the same Shared Schedule.

Share an Event Across Grouped Thermostats:

Grouped thermostats are thermostat that have been placed under the same “group” on your main climate management screen.

  1. Set you calendar view to Month by selecting Month in the upper right hand corner of the schedule dashboard.
  2. The light yellow bar on the calendar indicates today’s date. To change to the month you want to add a shared event to, select the left/right arrows in the top right of the calendar.
  3. Thermostat groups can be found on the left side of the calendar under the Manage Thermostat Schedules section. Groupings will be identical to the way the thermostats are grouped on the main page of your app.
  4. Group names are identified by being on the farthest left with a grey arrow next to their name. The allows you to collapse and open the grouped thermostats.
  5. Find the thermostat group you would like to add an event too and select the arrow next to that group name to expand the thermostats.
  6. Move your mouse courser along the calendar to the right of the group name until your courser is sitting on the calendar day you want to add an event too. Click the left mouse to select that day of the month. (You can also do this on a touch device using your finger).
  7. A dark green bar will appear on the event date next to the group name. A light green bar will spread down, across all the thermostats in that group. This indicates that the event is going to be shared across all these thermostats.
  8. Select the dark green bar to edit the shared event.
  9. In the pop-up name the event.
  10. Set the time the event starts and the time the event ends.
  11. If the event repeats, select More options… Choose the repeat period that the event will repeat on.
    •  When you add repeat to an event, you will have a start date and an end date. If the event is indefinite, leave the end date set to None.
  12. Set the System mode and what temperatures set points you want the thermostat to go to when the event starts.
  13. Under More options… You can set your Fan to run in Auto mode or continuously (On) during the event.
  14. Under More options… you can also decide if you want to prevent anyone from adjusting the thermostat during the event. If you do not, then set the Front Keypad to Locked. Otherwise, leaving it Unlocked means that adjustments can be made at the thermostat during the event.
  15. Once you have your event configured, select Done to save the event.

Share an Event Across Thermostats with the same Shared Schedule:

Thermostats that follow the same Shared Schedule are identified by looking at the schedule name shown next to the thermostat’s name on the left side of your event calendar. If you do not see thermostat names, select the arrows next to the group names to expand the groups.

  1. Set you calendar view to Month by selecting Month in the upper right hand corner of the schedule dashboard.
  2. The light yellow bar on the calendar indicates today’s date. To change to the month you want to add a shared event to, select the left/right arrows in the top right of the calendar.
  3. Shared schedules can be found on the left side of the calendar under the Manage Shared Schedules section.
  4. Find the Shared Schedule you would like to add an event too.
  5. Move your mouse courser along the calendar to the right of the shared schedule name until your courser is sitting on the calendar day you want to add an event too. Click the left mouse to select that day of the month. (You can also do this on a touch device using your finger).
  6. A dark yellow bar will appear on the event date next to the shared schedule name. Light yellow bars will show on the same calendar date next to the thermostats that follow that shared schedule. This indicates that the event is going to be shared across all these thermostats.
  7. Select the dark yellow bar to edit the shared event.
  8. In the pop-up name the event.
  9. Set the time the event starts and the time the event ends.
  10. If the event repeats, select More options… Choose the repeat period that the event will repeat on.
    •  When you add repeat to an event, you will have a start date and an end date. If the event is indefinite, leave the end date set to None.
  11. Set the System mode and what temperatures set points you want the thermostat to go to when the event starts.
  12. Under More options… You can set your Fan to run in Auto mode or continuously (On) during the event.
  13. Under More options… you can also decide if you want to prevent anyone from adjusting the thermostat during the event. If you do not, then set the Front Keypad to Locked. Otherwise, leaving it Unlocked means that adjustments can be made at the thermostat during the event.
  14. Once you have your event configured, select Done to save the event.

Note: All shared events are pushed to thermostats once the event is saved on the calendar. It can take up to 30 minutes or more for shared events to be populated into each of your Pelican thermostats.
