When would I disable the thermostat’s internal sensor?

In some situations the Pelican master thermostat might be installed in a room or in a location completely isolated from where it is maintaining temperature.

In this scenario, you will want to use an external sensor (wired or wireless) and set the thermostat’s internal sensor to disabled. This automatically weights the external sensor to be the thermostats primary control too temperature and completely removes the thermostat’s internal sensor from ever being used.

Where do I find this configuration?

This can be found under the thermostat’s configuration > Temperature Settings > Temp Sensor.

What is the difference between 0% and Disabled?

0% tells the thermostat that if its external sensors fail, to re-activate its internal sensor until the externals are active again.

Disabled tells the thermostat to NEVER use its internal sensor.
