All Pelican thermostats come with extremely accurate, factory calibrated, room temperature sensors.
What are the configuration options?
0°F (default): Leaving Calibration Degrees at 0°F keeps the thermostat using its factory calibrated temperature readings.
0.5 °F to 2.0 °F: The thermostat will read warmer in the room than its factory calibrated temperature readings.
–0.5 °F to -2.0 °F: The thermostat will read cooler in the room than its factory calibrated temperature readings.
Are there steps I should take before calibrating the sensor?
If you are reading a different room temperature than the thermostat reads, first check for unusual airflow occurring around the thermostat. The most common reason for temperature discrepancy is either because the supply register blows air along the wall directly into the thermostat, direct sun light shines onto the thermostat at certain times of the day, or there is air being blown into the thermostat where the thermostat’s control wires are ran.
