What is Activation Differential?

Activation Differential restricts using the economizer when the outdoor temperature is within that many degrees from the room temperature.

This configuration can be found in the Pelican Web-App > Admin > Thermostat Configuration > ‘select any thermostat‘ > Economizer > Activation Differential.

Configuration options and their meanings:

2°F (default): This restricts using the economizer if the outdoor temperature is within 2°F of the room temperature. For example, if the room temperature is 68°F and the outdoor temperature is 67°F, then an economizer cycle will not start and instead mechanical cooling will be enabled.

Allowable Settings: 0°F, 2°F, 4°F, and 6°F
