How do I schedules with occupancy sensors?

To learn how to schedule rooms, follow the instruction found either in How do I set an individual room schedule? Or How do I share schedules between multiple rooms?

When creating a schedule for a room with an occupancy sensor, the schedule will include an option called Unoccupied Setback. This configurable offset is settable between 0°F to 10°F or to System Off.

The off-set selected for Unoccupied Setback adjusts the room’s temperature settings, by that number of degrees, from the scheduled settings for that set-time.

For example, if a scheduled set-time sets a room to 72°F cool and 68°F heat and the unoccupied setback is set to 2°F, when the room is unoccupied the temperatures will adjust to 74°F cool and 66°F heat. And when the room is occupied the thermostat will automatically adjust to the scheduled settings of 72°F cool and 68°F heat.

Another example, if the scheduled set-time sets a room to 72°F cool and 68°F heat and the unoccupied setback is set to System Off, when the room is unoccupied the room will not run heating or cooling. But, when the room becomes occupied the room will automatically adjust to the scheduled settings of 72°F cool and 68°F heat.

What if some rooms have occupancy sensors and others do not?

Only room’s with occupancy sensors will adjust to the Unoccupied Setback schedule setting. This means you can still easily create a single Shared Schedule for all your rooms, since your Pelican solution will automatically adjust based on the actual Pelican product and control options installed for each room.
