What does an economizer position failure notification mean?

Economizer Position Failure

An economizer position failure notification will be generated if the outside damper actuator’s feedback voltage is at 0.5 VDC or more different than the output DC voltage.

If an economizer position failure notification is generated, you can compare the output position against the feedback position through the thermostat’s history graph.

  1.  Navigate to your Pelican web-app.
  2. Either select Notifications and select the economizer position failure notification or select the group the thermostat is in.
  3. Select the thermostat.
  4. Select History Graphs.
  5. You will see Economizer (output) position graphed in green and Feedback (actual damper position) graphed in grey.

Note: The feedback position will only be graphed if the economizer position failure notification occurred on that day.
